Summary of the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Telecom Research Scientist with a strong background in telecommunications engineering and research. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting advanced research and development to drive innovations in the field of telecommunications. You must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop new technologies, improve existing systems, and contribute to technical studies and publications.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in presenting research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proficiency in using research methodologies and data analysis tools pertinent to telecommunications studies.
Solid programming skills in languages such as Python, MATLAB, or similar for simulation and data analysis purposes.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and lead interdisciplinary research groups.
Keen attention to detail with an emphasis on achieving scientific rigor and quality in research work.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
At least 5 years of research experience in the telecommunications sector.
Proven track record of published research and/or patents in telecommunications.
Experience with research grant writing and securing funding for research projects.
Strong understanding of advanced telecommunications systems, wireless communication protocols, and network architectures.
Familiarity with simulation and modeling tools relevant to telecommunications research.
Responsibilities
Lead research projects and experiments in telecommunications to explore new concepts and technologies.
Analyze complex data sets, and synthesize research findings into actionable insights and potential product developments.
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to develop and refine research objectives.
Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and at industry conferences.
Stay up-to-date with current trends and advancements in telecommunications technology and related fields.
Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept models to demonstrate the feasibility of new technologies.
Provide expert advice and thought leadership on telecommunications technology to both internal teams and external partners.
Seek out opportunities for research grants and funding to support ongoing and future projects.
