Summary of the Role
As a Junior Power Systems Planner, you'll be responsible for evaluating, planning, and developing electrical power systems to ensure efficient and reliable power distribution to meet current and future demands. Your role will focus on collaborating with various teams to design and maintain electrical systems in alignment with industry standards, regulations, and environmental considerations.
Required Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of power system modeling and analysis tools.
Understanding of National Electric Code (NEC) and other relevant standards.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Time management and project coordination skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Basic understanding of power systems and electrical engineering principles.
Familiarity with electrical power distribution and transmission systems.
Ability to use power system analysis software like ETAP, PowerWorld, or similar.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Responsibilities
Assist in the planning and design of power distribution systems.
Conduct load flow, short circuit, and reliability studies.
Prepare system specifications for equipment and materials.
