Summary of the Role
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate records of inventory. This includes receiving, storing, and issuing supplies, equipment, and other items from stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. The role involves keeping detailed records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.

Basic computer knowledge and use of inventory software
Physical stamina and dexterity
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Good mathematical and analytical skills.
Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time.
Proficient with using computers and inventory software.
Responsibilities
Assist in receiving and storing incoming supplies and equipment.
Update inventory records with new information on a regular basis.
Perform physical counts of inventory and reconcile actual stock count to computer-generated reports.
Maintain cleanliness and order in the storage areas.
Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment.
Follow company policies and procedures regarding inventory control.
Report discrepancies between physical counts and computer records.
Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs.
