Summary of the Role
As a senior production quality engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met in the manufacturing process. Your extensive experience will help lead efforts in quality assurance, process improvement, and defect reduction. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and solve complex production issues while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality engineering role within manufacturing or production.
In-depth knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and tools.
Familiarity with ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other quality management systems.
Proven track record of implementing successful quality improvement initiatives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis software.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and technology.
Professional certification in quality engineering (e.g., ASQ CQE) is preferred.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process-related concerns.
Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production quality and efficiency.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality across all stages of manufacturing.
Perform internal audits and coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with quality standards and certifications.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and quality assurance staff.
Review and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) to align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
Drive the adoption of new quality processes and tools within the production environment.
