Responsibilities
Setting up and testing sound equipment before events, broadcasts, or recordings
Recording, editing, and mixing audio tracks (instruments, vocals, etc.) for various media
Collaborating with producers and performers to determine the desired sound for a project and adjust audio accordingly
Troubleshooting any sound issues and engaging in preventive maintenance on audio gear
Managing audio for live events, ensuring clarity and quality of sound throughout
Staying updated with the latest audio technology and incorporating new techniques into your work
Managing sound libraries and sound effects archives
Ensuring all audio equipment is handled and stored properly to avoid damage
