Summary of the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Intermediate Land Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for conducting surveys to determine the boundaries and features of various plots of land. Your primary goal will be to provide accurate and reliable data for construction projects, real estate transactions, and development planning. Collaboration with other professionals, such as civil engineers and architects, will be essential to ensure precise measurements are documented for our clients' needs.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Proven work experience as a Land Surveyor, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
Current licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or the ability to obtain it within a specified timeframe depending on the location.
Strong knowledge of surveying technology and equipment, including GPS, Total Stations, and data collectors.
Familiarity with surveying software and CAD programs.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and legal property descriptions.
Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to different sites as needed.
Responsibilities
Conduct field surveys and operate surveying equipment to gather data on land boundaries and topography.
Analyze and interpret survey data, plans, and blueprints to determine precise location and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours.
Prepare and maintain accurate survey reports and documentation.
Collaborate with civil engineers, architects, and construction teams to provide critical surveying information.
Assist in the planning and coordination of surveying activities to ensure project timelines and standards are met.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal surveying laws and guidelines.
Utilize CAD software to prepare detailed and scalable maps and drawings from survey data.
Perform regular calibration and maintenance checks on surveying equipment.
Provide guidance to junior surveying staff and aid in their development.
