Summary of the Role
As an Intermediate Set Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and overseeing the construction of sets for various productions such as theater, film, television, and events. You will work closely with directors, producers, and other members of the creative team to ensure that the set aligns with the vision of the production and enhances the overall aesthetic and storytelling.

Ability to read and interpret scripts to create cohesive and supportive set designs.
Proven track record of managing budgets and resources effectively.
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations pertaining to set construction and design.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with directors and producers to understand the creative vision of the production.
Conduct research to inform set designs that are historically and contextually accurate.
Sketch preliminary design plans, including the use of 3D modeling software.
Select materials, oversee construction, and ensure the set is built according to the design plans.
Supervise the set construction team to ensure quality and adherence to timelines.
Manage the set design budget, negotiate costs, and ensure efficient use of resources.
Modify designs based on feedback from rehearsals and technical runs.
