Summary of the Role
As a Pipeline Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and functionality of the company's pipeline system. Your tasks will include inspecting equipment, performing routine maintenance, and responding to emergency situations. You will work closely with a team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of pipelines that transport various substances such as oil, gas, and chemicals.

Knowledge of pipeline operations, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.
Familiarity with industry standards and government regulations regarding pipeline safety and environmental protection.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as blueprints and operation manuals.
Responsibilities
Perform regular inspections and maintenance on pipeline systems to ensure their integrity and prevent leaks or ruptures.
Operate and maintain valves, meters, and other equipment related to pipeline operation.
Monitor pipeline operations using SCADA systems and report any anomalies or discrepancies.
Respond quickly to emergency situations, such as leaks or spills, and take appropriate action to minimize environmental impact.
Coordinate with other departments and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately for record-keeping and regulatory compliance.
Assist in the installation and testing of new pipeline segments and equipment.
Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
