Summary of the Role
A Geodetic Surveyor at the junior level will focus on providing support in surveying land to determine precise locations and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, mapmaking, land division, titles, or other purposes.

Responsibilities
Assist in conducting field surveys to establish the locations of natural and man-made features.
Conduct routine data collection and measurements using geodetic and surveying instruments.
Assist with the processing and analysis of survey data, including the use of specialized software.
Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys.
Perform basic calculations and preliminary analyses of survey data.
Collaborate with other surveyors and technicians to complete survey projects.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards while carrying out survey procedures.
Assist in establishing baselines, elevations, and other geodetic measures based on established coordinates.
Support in maintaining the equipment and instruments used for surveying activities.
Document field notes and other relevant information obtained during survey operations.
