Tell us about a time when you had to resolve conflicts within a project team in a transportation project.

In a transportation project I worked on, there was a conflict between the design team and the construction team. The design team had proposed a specific design for a road expansion project, but the construction team raised concerns about the feasibility of the design. To resolve the conflict, I facilitated a meeting between the two teams to discuss their perspectives and find common ground. We analyzed the design plans, conducted field visits, and conducted additional simulations to understand the potential issues. Through open communication and collaboration, we were able to reach a compromise that addressed the construction team's concerns while still meeting the project objectives. This experience taught me the importance of actively listening to all team members and finding solutions that consider everyone's input.
