Summary of the Role
The Senior Distribution Planner is responsible for developing and executing efficient distribution strategies to ensure seamless product flow from suppliers to customers. This role involves oversight of inventory management, distribution center operations, and coordination with logistics partners.

Qualifications

Experience negotiating with and managing third-party logistics providers
Familiarity with supply chain management software (such as ERP, WMS, TMS)
Knowledge of industry regulations and standards
Responsibilities
Design and implement distribution strategies that enhance efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining high service levels
Analyze and optimize the supply chain network to ensure timely delivery of products
Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and negotiate contracts to secure the best rates and services
Collaborate with sales and manufacturing teams to forecast demand and plan inventory accordingly
Oversee the use of distribution management software to track shipments and inventory levels
Develop and maintain key performance indicators to measure supply chain performance
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline distribution processes
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
