Summary of the Role
As an intermediate Customs Broker, you will be responsible for ensuring that international shipments meet all applicable laws, facilitating the import/export process, and acting as a liaison between importers/exporters and the government. You will work to optimize the customs processes and ensure compliance with all regulations.

Qualifications
Licensed Customs Broker with valid certification.
2-5 years of experience in customs, international trade, or a related field.
Familiarity with customs regulations and documentation requirements for importing and exporting goods.
Experience with tariff classifications, value determination, and duty assessment.
Strong understanding of international transportation modes and logistics.
Knowledge of Free Trade Agreements and their application in customs operations.
Responsibilities
Prepare and process import and export documentation according to customs regulations, laws, or procedures.
Advise clients on import and export restrictions, tariff systems, insurance requirements, quotas, or other customs-related matters.
Calculate payable duties or tariffs on merchandise being imported.
Stay current on changes in regulations and inform clients or other interested parties of these changes.
Coordinate transportation and storage of imported goods.
Submit or transmit transaction details to customs authorities to obtain release of incoming freight and resolve delays or other issues.
Review commercial documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Collaborate with customs agents, delivery services, and other partners to ensure smooth transactions.
