Summary of the Role
As a Senior Cost Engineer, you'll lead in the management of cost-related aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, tracking, and controlling construction costs. You'll work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.

Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience of at least 5 years in cost control, budgeting, and estimating within the construction industry.
Certification in cost engineering or a related field, such as AACE's Certified Cost Professional (CCP).
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and project lifecycle.
Excellent analytical skills with a meticulous approach to cost analysis and budgeting.
Proficiency in cost estimating software (e.g., CostX, Timberline, or similar).
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed cost management plans for complex construction projects.
Analyze project specifications and construction documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
Implement cost-control measures and monitor project expenditure against the budget.
Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to forecast project costs and identify potential financial risks.
Prepare periodic cost reports and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
Review contractor bids and claims to ensure value for money and compliance with contractual obligations.
Mentor junior cost engineers and contribute to the development of cost engineering best practices.
