Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a cinematographer or in a similar role
Extensive experience working on a variety of film and video productions, including feature films, commercials, and music videos
Strong portfolio showcasing a range of visual styles and technical expertise
Bachelor's degree in film production, cinematography, or a related field is preferred
In-depth knowledge of digital and film camera systems, lenses, and support equipment
Understanding of advanced lighting techniques and equipment
Experience leading and managing a camera crew
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with directors to understand and interpret their vision for the project
Design and execute complex lighting schemes to enhance the mood and atmosphere of scenes
Select and set up camera equipment, including lenses and camera supports, to capture the best possible images
Supervise and direct the camera crew to ensure optimal operation during shoots
Conduct location scouts to identify the best filming locations and assess potential challenges for production
Manage the technical quality of the footage, ensuring it meets the production standards
Maintain knowledge of current cinematography trends, technologies, and techniques
Ensure all equipment is handled safely and in compliance with regulations
Work with post-production teams to monitor color grading and other finishing processes
