The Yardmaster is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations within rail yards. This position requires critical thinking and problem-solving skills to ensure the efficient movement of trains, materials, and personnel. Qualifications

Adequate physical strength and stamina to work outdoors and handle emergency situations.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the arrangement of railcars according to inbound and outbound schedules.
Communicate with conductors, engineers, and dispatchers to facilitate the movement of trains.
Inspect yard equipment and gear to ensure maintenance and safety standards are met.
Supervise yard crew and provide instructions for switching or track operations.
Implement and monitor safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Respond to and resolve any operational delays or problems.
