Qualifications
A Master's or PhD degree in Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in biochemical engineering or a related industry.
Proven track record of leading projects in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical environment.
Strong knowledge of biochemical processes, microbial physiology, and enzymology.
Experience with bioreactor design, scale-up, and downstream processing.
Familiarity with analytical techniques and instrumentation used in bioprocessing.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage biochemical engineering projects from conception to completion.
Design and conduct experiments for the development of new bioprocesses and refinement of existing ones.
Analyze and interpret data to make informed decisions on process development and optimization.
Liaise with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Production departments to ensure project goals are met.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
Keep up-to-date with technological advancements and regulatory standards in the biochemical engineering industry.
Author scientific papers, reports, and regulatory documents as required.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in all engineering activities.
