Summary of the Role
As a Senior Pediatric Allergist and Immunologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing allergies, asthma, and immune system disorders among pediatric patients. Your role involves providing expert care, conducting research, and educating patients and their families about management and prevention strategies.

Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board certification in Allergy and Immunology
Valid and unrestricted medical license
Completion of a pediatric allergy/immunology fellowship
At least 5 years of experience in pediatric allergy and immunology
A track record of research and publications in related fields
Eligibility to obtain a DEA registration
Responsibilities
Provide expert diagnosis and treatment for a variety of allergic reactions and immune system disorders in children
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to inform treatment plans
Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as skin tests, challenge tests, and blood tests
Prescribe and administer immunotherapy, biologic therapies, and other treatments as needed
Monitor patients longitudinally to assess the effectiveness of treatments and adjust as necessary
Contribute to the development of new therapies and treatment protocols through research and clinical trials
Educate patients, families, and the community about allergic and immunologic diseases and their management
Lead a multidisciplinary team, including nurses and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive care
Stay current with the latest developments in the field and integrate new knowledge into patient care
Consult with other specialists as needed to provide integrated patient care
