Summary of the Role
An Environmental Lawyer advises clients on green initiatives, sustainability strategies, and ensuring environmental compliance. This role requires a deep understanding of environmental laws and regulations, as well as the ability to navigate complex legal and regulatory frameworks. The candidate should be well-versed in advising on environmental risk, representing clients in environmental litigation, and contributing to corporate policy on environmental sustainability.

Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction(s).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental law or a related field.
Strong track record of advising on environmental issues, litigating cases, and negotiating settlements.
Proven ability to interpret and apply environmental laws and regulations.
Experience with federal and state environmental regulatory agencies, particularly the EPA.
Responsibilities
Provide legal advice on matters related to environmental law, including air and water quality, hazardous waste, sustainability practices, and renewable energy projects.
Represent clients in environmental litigation and before government bodies such as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, deeds, and other legal papers related to environmental law and regulatory compliance.
Evaluate the impact of proposed changes in environmental law and advise clients accordingly.
Conduct legal research and analysis on environmental law cases and regulations.
Negotiate settlements in complex environmental disputes.
Counsel businesses on environmental compliance and sustainable business practices.
Develop and deliver presentations and training to clients on current and emerging environmental issues and legislation.
Keep abreast of international, federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations.
