Summary of the Role
As a Junior Geotechnical Engineer, you will support senior engineers in the analysis, design, and construction of foundations, slopes, retaining structures, and other systems that are made from or are supported by soil or rock. This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the field of geotechnical engineering within a variety of projects, including infrastructure, commercial and residential developments.

Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD software is beneficial
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related field
Eligibility for EIT (Engineer in Training) or FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) certification preferred
Understanding of geotechnical engineering principles and practices
Basic knowledge of soil mechanics and foundation engineering
Familiarity with geotechnical software and tools used for analysis and design is a plus
Responsibilities
Assist with geotechnical investigations, including soil sampling and logging, field testing, and monitoring
Help in the preparation of geotechnical reports and technical drawings
Perform routine analysis of soil and rock properties
Contribute to the design of foundation systems and other geotechnical structures under the guidance of senior engineers
Participate in site visits and fieldworks to gather geotechnical data
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met
Adhere to company's safety guidelines and contribute to the development of safe working environments
