Qualifications
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with completion of a general surgery residency and a fellowship in surgical oncology.
Board certification in General Surgery and Surgical Oncology.
Active medical license and good standing with state medical board.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in surgical oncology, with a strong surgical skill set.
Documented history of clinical excellence, research, and teaching.

Effective communication and collaborative skills for working in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and keeping abreast with the latest surgical techniques and oncology treatments.
Responsibilities
Perform surgical procedures to remove tumors and cancerous tissues, and to investigate and stage cancer.
Provide preoperative and postoperative care, including the management of complications.
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and radiologists, to develop and implement treatment plans.
Participate in tumor boards and contribute to the strategic planning of patient management.
Engage in clinical research and contribute to the advancement of surgical oncology practices and treatments.
Educate and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students in surgical oncology techniques and patient care.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of oncological surgery advancements and best practices.
Participate in outreach and community education programs related to cancer prevention and treatment options.
