An Upholstery Specialist is responsible for the restoration, repair, and customization of upholstery for a variety of furniture items and vehicles. This role requires an individual with exceptional attention to detail and a passion for craftsmanship. The specialist will work with a range of materials, including fabric, leather, and synthetics, to deliver high-quality and durable finishes to clients' specifications.

Completion of a vocational training program in upholstery, furniture restoration, or a related discipline is preferred.
Physical ability to handle heavy objects and work in various postures for extended periods.
Responsibilities
Examining furniture or vehicle interiors to determine the extent of wear, damage, or deterioration.
Discussing upholstery fabric, color, and style choices with clients and providing recommendations based on their needs.
Removing old upholstery, preparing surfaces for reupholstering, and repairing any damage to frames or structures.
Measuring and cutting fabrics accurately according to the item's dimensions and design requirements.
Sewing new upholstery pieces using industrial sewing machines and hand-stitching techniques.
Installing new padding, springs, and fabric to create a finished upholstered surface.
Completing finishing touches such as applying trims or decorative embellishments.
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, including the care and maintenance of tools and equipment.
Communicating with clients and team members to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
