Qualifications

Valid state teaching certification in Physical Education.
2-5 years of experience teaching physical education at the K-12 level.
CPR and First Aid Certification preferably with AED training.
Understanding of physical education state standards and curriculum development.
Strong classroom management skills.
Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and deliver age-appropriate physical education lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
Engage students in a variety of physical activities to promote motor skills, physical fitness, and teamwork.
Assess student participation and progress in physical education activities.
Incorporate health education topics into the curriculum, such as nutrition, personal hygiene, and sexuality education.
Maintain a safe and orderly gymnasium and sports field environment.
Work collaboratively with school staff and parents to support the well-being of students.
Organize and oversee extracurricular sports programs, events, and competitions.
Stay current with developments in physical education pedagogy and incorporate new teaching methods as appropriate.
