Proven experience in soil sampling, nutrient management, and pest control.
Familiarity with precision agriculture technology and data analysis tools.
Strong knowledge of sustainable farming practices and environmental regulations related to agriculture.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement agronomic plans and practices tailored to local conditions and specific crop requirements.
Conduct soil testing and analysis to guide nutrient management and prescribe appropriate fertilization techniques.
Monitor crop health and growth to detect potential issues, like disease or pest problems, and recommend preventive or corrective measures.
Collaborate with farmers and agricultural businesses to provide technical advice and support in crop management strategies.
Oversee field trials and research projects to evaluate new seeds, products, or farming techniques.
Ensure compliance with agricultural policies, regulations, and sustainability standards.
Advise on irrigation practices and water management to optimize resource use and crop yields.
Analyze data from various sources, like satellite imagery or field sensors, to make informed decisions regarding crop management.
Lead and train junior agronomists and support staff to enhance team capabilities and knowledge sharing.
