Summary of the Role
As an Intermediate Gynecologic Oncologist, the professional will provide specialized care in the diagnosis and treatment of cancers that affect the female reproductive system. Qualifications
Medical degree (MD or DO) with completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Board certified or board eligible in Gynecologic Oncology.
Valid and active medical license.
Intermediate level experience (2-5 years) working in a clinical oncology setting, preferably with a focus on gynecologic cancers.
Strong track record in clinical or translational research in gynecologic oncology.
Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with gynecologic cancers, including performing surgeries and prescribing treatments.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and nurse specialists, to develop comprehensive care plans.
Participate in clinical research and trials to advance the field of gynecologic oncology.
Provide consultations for other physicians and healthcare providers on complex gynecologic oncology cases.
Educate and supervise medical students, residents, and fellows in gynecologic oncology procedures and best practices.
Stay current with advancements in the field to incorporate new treatments and approaches into patient care.
Participate in tumor boards and multidisciplinary case conferences to review and discuss patient cases.
Adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality requirements specific to cancer care and patient information.
