Summary of the Role
As an intermediate Herbalist, you will be expected to possess in-depth knowledge of medicinal plants and their uses in traditional and modern medicine. In this role, you will apply your expertise to cultivate, process, and utilize herbs for a variety of health-related applications, including creating herbal remedies, supplements, and natural health products.

Qualifications

Certification from a recognized professional herbalism organization (e.g., American Herbalists Guild).
Proven experience with herbal extraction techniques and product formulation.
Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and other regulatory requirements affecting herbal products.
Current understanding of the medicinal properties of a wide variety of herbs.
Ability to identify and harvest herbs with a commitment to sustainability and ethical standards.
Responsibilities
Identify and harvest a diverse range of medicinal herbs ethically and sustainably.
Process and prepare herbal concoctions, tinctures, and formulations in accordance with established herbalism practices.
Conduct quality control assessments of herbal products for efficacy, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Maintain records of plant properties, extraction methods, and herbal formulations.
Educate clients and customers on the use and benefits of herbal products.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to integrate herbal medicine into conventional treatment plans.
Stay current with advancements in herbal science and changes in regulatory guidelines.
Manage herb cultivation areas, including planting, nurturing, and protecting plants from pests and diseases.
