Summary of the Role
The Climate Policy Analyst will be responsible for researching and analyzing policy measures related to climate change mitigation and adaptation. This role requires a deep understanding of environmental policy, sustainability practices, and the socio-economic impacts of climate change. The analyst will work to support policy-making processes, propose new policy solutions, and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented policies.

Qualifications

At least 5 years of relevant experience in climate policy analysis or environmental policy
Proven track record of policy development and analysis
Strong background in quantitative and qualitative research methods
Familiarity with climate models and greenhouse gas inventories
Knowledge of international climate policies, frameworks, and negotiation processes
Experience engaging with stakeholders and policymakers
Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth research and analysis of existing and proposed climate policies
Develop policy recommendations to support climate change mitigation and adaptation efforts
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather information and perspectives on climate-related issues
Prepare reports and presentations to communicate research findings and policy recommendations
Evaluate the impact of climate policies on different sectors and communities
Stay informed about developments in climate science and policy at the international, national, and local levels
Advocate for science-based policy decisions through engagement with policymakers and the public
Assess the potential economic, social, and environmental co-benefits of climate policies
